Outsourcing Industy Bussiness Opportunity!!

Hi All,
This is my first blog on this site. I have tried to analyze the Outsourcing industry for quiet some time.
Let me try to explain some of the fundamentals in outsourcing area. These are typically used in outsourcing business. Outsourcing as a concept is there from few decades back but as a larger movement started in corporate world from 1990 with some companies have taking lead.
Outsourcing means outsourcing of non core activities of a firm to outside entity for oblivious reasons like cost, efficiency, to give more focus for core activities etc.
But as advancement in technology and communication took place it went from near area to far areas like low cost countries. Basically i mean in the beginning outsourcing activities used to take place near to the organization or same country this was also called Near-shoring.
But as technology and communication developed it started to take place to far areas like India, china etc. Most firms try to leverage on the tech, communication and other things of outsourcing. This typically started with outsourcing of Call Centre, Medical Transcription etc. where is less decision making skill require.
Than came the BPO or business process outsourcing which means outsourcing of a business process of a firm like AR, AP etc which not only required human support but also decision making skills at lower level. This created a new industry for firms in countries like India, china etc by not only developing economic of these countries but also benefiting the outsourcing firms mostly for US and European countries.
Though this area is a new for some of the firms there are many firms which have come up but not able to keep up to the mark so this can be lead to firms moving from lower level to do higher ended work like Analytical, Modelling etc.
So as the industry got matured and the process got stabilize firms wanted to move up the ladder this gave birth to new industry called KPO or Knowledge process outsourcing. Which means higher ended process is outsourced with more complex decision making skills required. This includes areas like pricing, data analytical, equity research etc.
Presently in India the outsourcing industry is a hot area which includes (KPO, BPO, and LPO etc.). This industry as given entrepreneur new option of innovation and coming up with different things in this sphere. There are many PE firms investing in this areas.
Though the industry is growing still in nasty stage and facing various problems like legal, security etc. but I hope this industry has more room for other new niche player in this area.
I guess this will give some idea to you all guy about the industry for some extend but let me know incase of any other ideas or something new to be added for this.
